We’ll begin the episode with some Listener Feedback, plus a celebratory Facebook number is mentioned.  (there’s also some new begging and groveling for feedback and I-Tunes reviews!)  I will be presenting an “updated” Spotlight for Superman’s Guest, The Legion Of Super-Heroes.  (You may notice the difference in sound quality)  I had to do another Hostess Ad (SORRY!)  And finally, we will take a trip to the Comic Spinner Rack.

No holding back this time as we start out with our Spotlight segment.  I will be presenting a Spotlight for Superman’s Guest, The Flash.  Our “Whatever Happened To..?” segment will delve into The Crimson Avenger where I will have a Spotlight Extra on him as well as the story itself.  This episodes’ Hostess Ad comes courtesy of Tales Of The JSA, hosted by Scott Gardner and Michael Bailey.  And finally, we will take a trip to the Comic Spinner Rack.

Then when he goes to the attic, Jor-EL and Lara attack him. Can Superboy figure out what’s going on and convince everyone that he’s the real Superboy?

This time out, we’ll be getting into DC Comics Presents #27. I have one email to read as well as a Comic Brag to talk about.  I will be presenting the Spotlight for Superman’s Guest, J’onn J’onnz The Martian Manhunter. Superboy received a message from deep space from his Kryptonian father Jor-EL. Investigating, he discovers the bodies of Jor-EL and Lara in a space capsule surrounded by Kryptonite radiation. He is then pushed close to the capsule by Xonar, an old foe of his father. Superboy is rescued by Dr. Krylo, another Kryptonian and is taken to safety. Krylo explains that he was able to cryogenically preserve himself and Superboy’s parents even though Jor-EL did not want to be preserved. Superboy and Krylo then enlist the aid of Jonathan Kent to retrieve the capsule. Xonar strikes again to stop them, but Superboy fights him off. The villain then crashes into a space mine and is killed. Krylo exposes himself to the Kryptonite to save Jonathan. Superboy then takes the bodies of his parents back to Earth hoping to revive them. However, a recording inside the rocket explains that both Jor-EL and Lara were dying of radiation poisoning before they were placed into the rocket by Krylo. Reviving them would only lead to another painful death, so Superboy leaves their bodies in the rocket and returns it to deep space.

The Maharajah of Sinsubhani brings Superman a rare alien jewel which is capable of great destructive force. Superman is unable to destroy the jewel, and the evil organization known as Demon seeks to possess it. Superman protects the jewel from Demon despite several attacks from their forces. When Demon holds Lois and Jimmy hostage, he allows himself to be captured.  Superman is brought before the leader of Demon and forced to turn over the jewel. Fortunately the leader is an imposter. It is really Prince Krishna, the son of the Maharajah. Krishna has discovered the way to destroy the jewel and does so. He had infiltrated Demon solely for that purpose. With the jewel destroyed, Lois and Jimmy are released.
