Welcome to the 4th (and sadly Final) Christmas Special for The DC Comics Presents Show! This time out, we’ll be getting into Batman & The Outsiders #19. We start this episode, for the first time in a long time, with the Russell’s Comic Brag segment and it’s brought to you by a very special guest. Next, I will be presenting a Spotlight for Batman & The Outsiders. Then we will delve into our issue, Batman & The Outsiders #19. Finally, we’ll take a trip to the Comic Spinner Rack. All that and special Christmas Music splashed throughout the episode. I hope you enjoy my gift to you!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, PODCAST LISTENER!!

One comment on “4th (and Final) Annual Christmas Episode – Batman & The Outsiders #19

  1. Merry Christmas, Russell, to you and yours!
I always enjoy your Christmas episodes, especially for the Christmas music you include. I don’t hear Weird Al Yankovic singing “Christmas at Ground Zero” in the usual Christmas mix on the radio this time of year. Thanks for the laugh, even if it felt a bit “topical” these days.
The Batman & The Outsiders story was a good one, even though I wasn’t a huge fan of the Outsiders during the ’80s. It’s good to see Superman make an appearance, and give good advice to Geo-Force: “You can’t just kill everyone who does wrong, son! You’ve got to reform them, make them better!” This is what I want to hear from Superman.
I’d have loved to hear Alfred Pennyworth make some comment about the name “The Outsiders”, given that he was once known as the villain, “The Outsider”, himself, but I think his memory of his time in that identity was erased, and I imagine Batman has never filled in the blanks for him.
It saddens me a bit to think that this is the last Christmas episode for this podcast, because I know how much you enjoy Christmas. Well, podcast or not, I hope you and your family and friends will always enjoy wonderful Christmases forever.
