I am back in the Podcasting Chair this week, and this time out we’ll be getting into DC Comics Presents #81. The show starts with some Listener Feedback. (Yes…I grovel for more email, comments and I-Tunes Reviews) Next, I have a Russell’s Comic Brag to talk about. Then, we’ll have a Spotlight for Superman’s Guest, Ambush Bug. After a podcast promo, we will delve into our issue, DC Comics Presents #81. Finally, we take a trip to the Comic Spinner Rack.

  1. Good to hear you back at the microphone, Russell.
I was never a big fan of Ambush Bug, I must admit. He always seem too silly, but then, I usually enjoyed Mr. Mxyzptlk (until Alan Moore’s dreadful Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?), and he was pretty silly, too, but he, at least, seemed to follow some rules, where Ambush Bug just seems anarchic.
I did enjoy hearing your coverage of this issue, though, and I agree that it would have been fun to see Superman singing “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot”, while he was in the cell.
I’m looking forward to hearing Professor Alan covering the Superman/Adam Strange team-up, because Adam Strange always seemed similar to Edgar Rice Burroughs’ character, John Carter of Mars, and John Carter seemed like a precursor to Superman.
