This time out, we’ll be getting into DC Comics Presents #45. A shorter episode this time around as we begin the episode with a Spotlight for Superman’s Guest, Firestorm. And finally, we will take a trip to the Comic Spinner Rack.

A good episode, based on an average issue of DC Comics Presents, I think. For all the power represented in this story (Superman, Firestorm, and Kriss-Kross), the action of this one sort of falls a bit flat, I think. I agree with you that Kriss-Kross would have made a great recurring villain, given his powers, whether as a foe of Superman or Firestorm (or, given that both his super-villain name and his “civilian” name were, essentially the same, maybe he’d have been a good foe for J’onn J’onzz, who has/had a similar confluence of names). At one point, you mentioned a sailor (I think), comment that “this guy Forester can write.” I’d guess that was a reference to C. S. Forester, author of many novels of naval warfare, notably the Horatio Hornblower series, as well as the classic, “The African Queen”. His books would be exactly the kind of thing a sailor might read.
